In United Nations Peacekeeping

I started my military service as a member of the RCAMC. I took my basic training with the PPCLI Depot in Edmonton, AB. When basic was over, I was posted to the Med school located in Camp Borden. I transferred to the RHC (Black Watch). There I was stationed with lRHC at Camp Gagetown, New Brunswick. While there, I headed back to Camp Borden for a Clerks course.

After returning to Gagetown, I had a Dvr course and ended up being a section driver. While in Gagetown, we were chosen to be the first Canadian unit to participate in Norway as part of the Ace Mobile force. In l964, I was slated to go to the Island of Cyprus.

In l965, I transferred to the west. I went to l PPCLI in Edmonton, AB. During my stay with the PPCLI, I again headed for Cyprus for the last time. I retired in l979 in Calgary, and have been here since then. I have been a Legion member for 26 years, and a Charter member of CAVUNP.
