            I was born in Perth-Andover , New Brunswick . Before Joining the Canadian Forces I worked a steel rigger. In 1969 I joined the forces after basic training I was posted to 1 P.P.C.L.I. in Calgary . While with the Battalion we did exercise Pool Shark on the west coast. I served in Cyprus with A Coy. In the fall of 1971 I went on exercise New Viking in the Artic. In 1972 I was posted to Germany with 3 Mech. In 1975 I was posted back to Canada with 3 P.P.C.L.I. in Victoria . I went to Cyprus again with the Battalion in 1975-1976 with Log Coy. In 1978 I was posted RSS with the Canadian Scottish in Bay Street Armories. I took a release for the Forces in 1979 and joined the Alberta Corrections. After a divorce I rejoined the Military in 1982 and was posted back to the First Battalion in Calgary . Got married again in 1984 two weeks before going with the Battalion to Cyprus . I returned back to Canada early after I got word my wife had Cancer. In 1984 was cross posted to RHQ where I worked until I took my retirement in 1993
